Annandale Spinners Bike Club

Michele Glaser, our Performance Improvement Manager, loves to ride her bike and wanted to share her biking passion with our Villagers. She envisioned a biking club that would give Villagers who were interested in biking an opportunity to explore another avenue of physical fitness.

Michele's vision became a reality last fall when the first bikes arrived at Annandale Village. The response from our community to the request for bike donations was tremendous. Not only were bikes donated, but bike repair, funds to purchase bikes, and volunteers to ride with the Club.

As our Villagers became more excited about this outdoor activity, their families joined in to support their enthusiasm by purchasing bikes and safety helmets.

Our bike club has riders at all levels, from traditional 2-wheel bikes to 3-wheel trikes, recumbent bikes and special adaptive bikes. The Bike Club has regular scheduled days for biking when Michele takes them out about campus for a fun ride.

Special Olympics

We focus on training and preparing for Special Olympics events and competitions. Any Villager who is able and interested can compete in local, area, and state Special Olympics events throughout the year. Employees and volunteers accompany these trips.

We also offer games, sports, and exercise -- including kickball, martial arts, yoga, dance, swimming, and other physically challenging activities.

Driving Magic

I can’t imagine the Activities Program at Annandale Village without our Driving Magic partners.
