Annandale Village is an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated solely to providing progressive life assistance to adults with intellectual disabilities and traumatic brain injuries so that they can maximize their abilities and maintain their independence in the least restrictive environment.

Admissions Process

The purpose of the assessment interview is to allow our Director of Admissions to determine if the applicant meets Annandale’s basic criteria for admission.  In addition, the interview helps to determine specific programs and services that best meet the needs and desires of the individual to be served.

The campus tour provides an opportunity for the applicant and his or her family to visit Annandale, meet our professional staff, and to address any questions or concerns.  The tour also provides the admissions team an opportunity to meet the potential villager in person, and determine if our initial assessment was accurate.

A completed application and other required documents are required prior to receiving residential, day and respite services.

Completed applications are reviewed by members of our health services, social services, and senior administrative staff.  Once reviewed, the team works to determine admission status and a recommendation for level of care. An application review takes approximately one week once all required documents and application are received.

Once an application has been approved an intake/move in date is scheduled. On the day of intake, a meeting is held to gather all the necessary documents required for the new resident’s file. In addition, a brief orientation is provided for the new resident and their family.
