The Atlanta Vision Dancers

The Atlanta Vision Basketball team is the official basketball team of Annandale Village and Annandale Village is the officical "Village" of the Atlanta Vision.  On Saturday, January 5, the team visited Annadale.  The team played a scrimmage game and the Vision dancers performed for everyone.  The Villagers are looking forward to attending many of the home games that will be played at the Gwinnett Arena.

6 on a String Band
Udi and Mr. Ellis

Every year for over twenty years, Mr. Jim Ellis and a group from his church have sponsored a wonderful holiday party for our Villagers.  This year the party was on December 4.  The 6 on a String Band provided holiday music, Santa visited, and everyone enjoyed the refreshments provided by the group.  We all thank Mr. Ellis and the volunteers who make our holiday bright each year by bringing this holiday tradition to our Villagers!

Gold Medal Winners

The Annandale Bocce Ball teams, Bocce Bunch I and Bocce Bunch II, brought home the gold in the Georgia State Special Olympics.  The competition was held in Albany, Georgia on October 12-14.

The teams were coached by Annandale Activities Coordinator, Sandy Weaver.  Team members are:  Joey L., Eddie M., Tom M., Laurie P., Ann L., Frances G., Joella A., and Patricia C.  To view more photos of the Bocce teams, go to the photo gallery!

Hanging Out on the dock

Twenty Annandale Villagers and three staff members visited Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, Georgia for three days of camping fun.  Camp Twin Lakes is a camp designed for medically fragile children.  The camp is interested in expanding their services to adults with developmental disabilities.  The Villagers from Annandale were the trial group for this project.

Everyone had a great time, enjoyed the activities and the food.  Everyone returned home to Annandale tired but happy, especially the staff.  To see more photos of the fun activities at camp go to the photo gallery.
